Blueberry Muffins à la Françaisea

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg, beaten lightly
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup fresh blueberries (or ½ cup well-drained canned or thawed frozen


Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease wells of Better Browning Bakeware® Muffin Pan. Over medium bowl sift flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. In separate bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg and vanilla. Add liquid ingredients to flour mixture; stirring well until moistened. Batter will be thick.

Fold in blueberries. Divide batter among the muffin wells. Bake 18-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serves 6
