Granite·Ware® Overall

  • Only use Granite·Ware® pots and pans with completely flat bottoms on glass cooktops. When using pots/pans whose bottoms are not completely flat, excessive heat can build up between the cooktop and the pot/pan and the cooktop can crack

 

Roasters

  • Do not use on glass cooktops but safe to use with all other heat sources
  • Wash all items before first use
  • Avoid striking on a hard surface as the porcelain may chip
  • Handles get hot so use mitts or potholders
  • Metal tool safe
  • Dishwasher safe

 

Pots & Pans

  • Do not use on glass cooktops but safe to use with all other heat sources
  • Wash all items before first use
  • Avoid striking on a hard surface as the porcelain may chip
  • Handles get hot so use mitts or potholders
  • Heat cookware with at least one inch liquid and let contents cool before moving
  • For pots less than 12 quart, do not lift by the handles if more than 3/4 full
  • For pots 12 quart and larger do not lift by the handles if more than 1/2 full
  • Metal tool safe
  • Dishwasher safe

 

Water Bath Canners

  • Do not use on glass cooktops because some do not generate enough heat to safely can but Granite·Ware® is safe to use on all other hear sources
  • Wash all items before first use
  • Avoid striking on a hard surface as the porcelain may chip
  • Handles get hot so use mitts or potholders
  • Heat cookware with at least one inch liquid and let contents cool before moving
  • Never lift the pot when it is full of water and jars
  • Do not add vinegar to the canning water
  • Metal tool safe
  • Dishwasher safe

 

Vintage Granite·Ware®

  • Wash all items before first use
  • Avoid striking on a hard surface as the porcelain may chip
  • Handles get hot so use mitts or potholders
  • Cookware works on all cooktops including induction
  • Heat settings of medium or lower will provide the best results
  • Always heat cookware with food or liquid, do not boil dry
  • Cookware is oven safe to 500 °F, lid and knob are oven safe to 340 °F
  • The tempered glass lid is shatter and heat resistant but still breakable. Avoid exposure to extreme temperature changes and handle with care at all times
  • Metal tool safe
  • For stubborn food stuck to the cookware, soak the cookware in warm water, then wipe clean. Do not use abrasive cleansers
  • Dishwasher safe
